In the third step Storyboard (Shot Slicing) or the fourth step Render (Final Output), click the "Edit" button on any shot card or click "Batch Edit" to bring up the Shot Editor Modal. The editor provides a professional-grade multi-track panel allowing millisecond-level micro-adjustments for visual modes, spoken texts, visual prompts, background overlays, SFX, and picture-in-picture widgets.
I. Core Visual Types & Parameters Guide (Primary Visual & Parameters)
Selecting different Primary Visuals (PV) dynamically loads different options. Below are the parameters and micro-adjustment guidelines for the five main visual types:
1. A-Roll Host Shot (A-Roll Host)
Focuses on the presenter's voiceover, primarily controlling the avatar's performance. The exclusive parameters are:
| Parameter | Key | Description & Specifications |
|---|---|---|
| Framing | framing | Controls the camera zoom distance. Offers medium shot (mid - captures presenter's chest and PiP gesture areas) and close-up (close - focuses on the presenter's face, displaying clearer facial expressions). |
| Visual Description | visual_description | Defines the presenter's characteristics (hair, glasses, outfit). Must be written in English following the structure: "subject + appearance + framing" (e.g., A professional host wearing glasses, medium shot). Avoid describing backgrounds or adding irrelevant visual logic here. |
2. B-Roll Overlay Shot (B-Roll Footage)
Plays video clips or static images in the background, ideal for showing products or abstract concepts. The parameters are:
| Parameter | Key | Description & Specifications |
|---|---|---|
| Visual Description | visual_description | Prompts for B-Roll video generation (supports English and Chinese). Describes the main subject, camera motions, and overall lighting (e.g., A microscopic view of cells flowing, macro shot, depth of field). |
| Clip Trimming Time | b_roll_video_start / b_roll_video_end | When referencing background library clips, these specify the start and end timestamps (in seconds, supporting decimal micro-adjustments) to extract the most relevant segments. |
| Reference Source | b_roll_video_url / b_roll_video_id / b_roll_video_title | Matches the background library item's unique ID, playback URL, and title to locate the asset during preview and rendering. |
| Attached Image | attached_image_id | Binds an uploaded local image as the shot background. Note that binding an image automatically disables and clears the video reference parameter (b_roll_video). |
3. VFX Animation Shot (VFX Animation)
Overlays script-driven dynamic rich cards onto the video, providing powerful data and concept visualizations:
| Template | Key | Exclusive Parameters & Specifications |
|---|---|---|
| Template Selection | card.template | Selects the card theme style. Offers 16 rendering templates including big numbers, leaderboard list, code cards, math formulas, comparison cards, astrology, and 3D molecules. |
Text Card (text_card) | title / body / highlights | Fills card main title, body description, and a list of keywords to highlight in custom colors. |
Data Callout (data_callout) | value / label / note | Fills the prominent callout value, subtitle label below it, and footnote notes. |
Quote Card (quote_card) | quote / speaker / title / backdrop_tags | Fills the quote text, speaker name, title/headline, and backdrop floating tag lists. |
Math Formula Card (equation_card) | title / equations / note | Fills the formula title, LaTeX formatted equations line-by-line, and footnotes. |
Comparison Card (comparison_card) | title / left / right / verdict | Fills the comparison title, left attributes, right attributes, and final comparison verdict at the bottom. |
Leaderboard List (ranking_list) | title / unit_label / items / note | Fills the list title, units, ranking items (containing name, value, and note), and footnotes. |
Code Card (code_card) | language / code / caption | Specifies programming language (e.g., python, js), source code body, and bottom captions. |
Code Run Card (code_run_card) | title / language / filename / code / output / takeaway / focus_lines | In addition to code card attributes, you can output simulated terminal terminal logs, key takeaways, and line numbers to highlight (e.g., 3, 4, 8). |
I Ching Card (zhouyi_hexagram_card) | title / question / original_hexagram / change_type / moving_lines / line_quote / gloss / callout | Fills astrology cards with title, question, hexagram, changes, changing lines, quotes, interpretations, and judgments. |
3D Molecule Card (molecule_3d_card) | smiles / molecule_data / style / camera | Fills SMILES string, atomic 3D coordinates, display style (ball-and-stick/space-filling/licorice/wireframe), and camera angles (default/side/top). |
4. Manim Math Animation Shot (Manim Video)
Uses a cloud Python compilation pipeline to render mathematics and science concepts. The parameters are:
| Parameter | Key | Description & Specifications |
|---|---|---|
| Manim Animation Description | manim_description / manim_intent | Describes functions, coordinate shifts, or geometric movements. The cloud compiler parses this and runs Python to render the animation. |
| Duration Seconds | manim_duration_seconds | Manually adjusts the length of the rendered math animation (supports 8 to 20 seconds, recommended: 12 seconds). |
5. Paper Citation Shot (Paper Citation)
Displays the original PDF paper, with highlights, zoom, and translation overlays. The parameters are:
| Parameter | Key | Description & Specifications |
|---|---|---|
| Citation Mode | paper.kind | Chooses the citation template. Offers 7 modes:
|
| Paper Source | source_id | Links the PDF source ID to preview the document in the right sidebar of the editor. |
| Translation Overlay | cited_phrase_cn | Input translation texts to show side-by-side bilingual citation panels. |
| Viewport Coordinates | paper.payload | For zoom-in templates, drag selection boxes directly on the PDF preview; coordinates bind automatically. |
II. TTS Script & Voiceover Controls
The foundation for presenter scripts and voiceovers:
- Direct script inputs with a real-time character counter and limits (Chinese: 15-60 chars, English: 30-80 words recommended).
- Supports `[[word]]` Typography Flash: Surrounding words with double brackets flashes big typographic titles synchronously as the voice speaks.
III. VFX Overlays & Decoration Widgets (Decorations)
Adds overlay layers to enrich shot details:
| Widget Name | Context | Rendering Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Caption | A-Roll / B-Roll | Renders localized headings; supports cinema-style subtitles (Cinema Caption). |
| SFX | Universal | Input keywords to auto-apply sound effects like wishes, beats, or transition impacts. |
| Pull Quote | A-Roll Only | Draws a quote container on the side of the host, detailing quoted text and speaker attribution. |
| Bullet List | A-Roll / B-Roll | Generates bullet lists that fade in step-by-step alongside the voiceover progress. |
| Chapter Card | Universal | Section transition screen; inputs title and subtitle details. |
| PiP (Picture in Picture) | B-Roll / VFX / Paper | Picture in Picture Mode: When the main visual is a chart or paper, shrinks and moves the avatar to corner positions (adjustable positions). |
| Concept Swap | A-Roll / B-Roll | Crosses out a phrase and morphs it into a new concept term. |
| B-Roll Reference | B-Roll Shot | Allows designating a custom background video URL or ID specifically for this shot. |
IV. Filters & Quick Controls
